When we first catch a glance of an - attractive new lady we have nothing on which to judge her except her physical appearance. Her physical attractiveness attracts - you so the two of you can meet and chat. This initial “screening” conversation often leads to - courting which can then lead to love etc…
This is the first hurdle you - must traverse when you first meet a new women. We have a cultural habit of not - paying attention to someone who doesn’t pass muster - physically. If a woman falls below your minimum acceptable level, chances are you won’t spend - the time it takes to get to know her. But if a conversation can get - started, personality traits may come to the fore and - change your whole impression of her.
The experience of an - old friend may help. When Bob first met - Samantha at a party he thought she looked too - mousy, conservative and boring. He immediately came to the - conclusion that she wasn’t “his type” and decided to ignore her. Samantha found Bob - attractive so she managed to corner - Bob for a short chat.
Once they started talking they couldn’t stop. As it turned out - they had a great deal in common and even had very similar long term goals. They’ve now been happily married for over fifteen years!
Wouldn’t it have been sad if because of Bob’s initial negative - impression (based on physical appearance - alone) they never took the time to get to know one another? Sadly that is - exactly what happens far too often.
